Design a New York State WorldPride Welcome Center to serve as the main hub for the 2019 WorldPride Celebration in New York City.
THE SOLVE
The space we created was inspired by New York State’s history of paving the way of Pride and LBGTQ rights. From the passage of marriage equality and GENDA to New York’s ongoing fight with the Trump administration over critical protections for transgender individuals, New York has been a national leader in the fight for LGBTQ equality.
As millions of people visited New York State during June 2019, the WorldPride Welcome Center highlighted the roots and accomplishments of the LGBTQ rights movement in New York and promoted the state as a safe, welcoming destination with no place for hate.
